Nasa Lying Too!

NASA, NOAA cooking the data
By Kirk Myers
28 Jan 10 - The cooks – er, “scientists” – at NASA’s Goddard Institute
of Space Studies show 2009 as the second-warmest year since modern
record-keeping began in 1880, while NOAA’s National Climatic Data
Center ranks 2009 as only the fifth-warmest since that time.

There is a major problem with the NASA and NOAA numbers, say
skeptical researchers: They are inaccurate, the result of cherry-picking,
computer manipulation and “best guess” interpretation.

Scientists Lied!

NASA Lied About Global Warming

NASA lied about global warming. It seems the warmest year on record is 1934, not 1998 as NASA had claimed. I guess NASA is too busy these days providing their astronauts with a wide variety of adult beverages at the wet bar.

From Daily Tech.com:

NASA has now silently released corrected figures, and the changes are truly astounding. The warmest year on record is now 1934. 1998 (long trumpeted by the media as record-breaking) moves to second place. 1921 takes third. In fact, 5 of the 10 warmest years on record now all occur before World War II. Anthony Watts has put the new data in chart form, along with a more detailed summary of the events.

The effect of the correction on global temperatures is minor (some 1-2% less warming than originally thought), but the effect on the U.S. global warming propaganda machine could be huge.

More at NorCalBlogs:

According to the new data published by NASA, 1998 is no longer the hottest year ever. 1934 is.

Four of the top 10 years of US CONUS high temperature deviations are now from the 1930s: 1934, 1931, 1938 and 1939, while only 3 of the top 10 are from the last 10 years (1998, 2006, 1999). Several years (2000, 2002, 2003, 2004) fell well down the leaderboard, behind even 1900. (World rankings of temperature are calculated separately.)

The MSM will bury this story and instead favor Junior Gore’s alarmist call because that’s what good little goose-steppers like the MSM does.

Remember, only You Can Prevent ManBearPig! Anyone for a Mister Softee?

Researcher: NASA hiding climate data - Washington Times

Quote:
Chris Horner, a senior fellow at the Competitive Enterprise Institute, said NASA has refused for two years to provide information under the Freedom of Information Act that would show how the agency has shaped its climate data and would explain why the agency has repeatedly had to correct its data going as far back as the 1930s.

Mark Hess, public affairs director for the Goddard Space Flight Center which runs the GISS laboratory, said they are working on Mr. Horner’s request, though he couldn’t say why they have taken so long.
I can hazard a guess. Can you?

http://hotair.com/archive…09/12/0…mate-data-too/

Quote:
It goes without saying that this runs counter to open and transparent scientific pursuit. However, NASA is a government agency that is ultimately accountable to the citizens of the US, and they are doing research on issues that impact public policy - in fact, greatly impact it. On both counts, NASA should not force scientists and the citizens that fund that research to sue them before making that information transparent.
Why do they take the circle-the-wagons, us against them attitude regarding transparency?

Loss of Himalayan Glaciers - Another Global Lie
Posted on January 17, 2010 by chillguy33

The biggest scientific story of the decade or perhaps the century is the outrageous magnitude of the global warming lie.

It is not a story about climate at all; it is a story of the forensic pathology of human greed run wild.

The imminent disappearance of the Himalayan glaciers is the latest casualty of global warming true confession.

The dsappearance of Himalayan glaciers initially was a speculative comment, very cursory in nature, not a scientific finding at all, taken out of that context and blown into a global crisis by greedy international liars.

Or else it was a lie directly from a human scientist sinner. After all, elite scientists have been nailed cold subverting the peer review process; “fudging” scientific data; blackballing publication of competing ideas.

Now it, the forecasted disappearance of the glaciers of the Himalays, is all over, in the course of a few days.

The magnitude of the lie itself is nearly beyond belief; that it was practically undisputed and accepted widely among lay persons is another great wonder of civilization and human psychology.
Glaciers In Hunza Under Threat From Global Warming?

No Obi-wan; it is all a giant lie; maybe the biggest lie of our age.

“México is a Gigantic Refrigerator”

“México is a Gigantic Refrigerator”

“Es Mexico Una Hielera Gigantesca”

9 Jan 2010 - Email from a reader in Mexico

Hi Robert!

Minus 7 degrees Celsius was our low in Saltillo yesterday and in addition to a frozen water pipe in our house, today there are no less than 13 headlines in various sections of our local paper relating to the current cold wave and all its local implications.

Two jumped out at me. Es Mexico Una Hielera Gigantesca (“México is a Gigantic Refrigerator”) http://www.vanguardia.com.mx/diario/noticia/estados/nacional/es_mexico_una_
hielera_gigante sca/450929
(I never dreamed I would ever see such a headline here!)

The other (finally) is the first one I have seen throwing doubt on global warming ¿Dónde quedó el calentamiento? (“Where is the Warming?”) http://www.vanguardia.com…nal/%C2%BFdonde_quedo_el _calentamiento?_/450919

One of the accompanying photos in the articles shows the exquisite pleasure of a young child experiencing snow in Mexico. The other shows the stark reality of an ice bound boat, the MV Arkona, in a canal in Holland.

Come on Mr. Gore. Bring us some “global warming.”

Best regards,
Alan Stover

It’s Colder In America, Than At Both Poles!

The South Pole is the coldest place on Earth — just take a look at the most recent images from the webcam at the Amundsen-Scott South Pole Station, which captures a new picture of those freezing conditions every 15 minutes. But at present, it’s merely -12 Fahrenheit.

The North Pole is normally significantly warmer than the South, but it’s a chilly -17 up there right now, a temperature that must sound positively Caribbean to anyone living in, say, Bismark, North Dakota (-33 Fahrenheit at present).

Wind chills across the United States are bringing our sub-freezing temperatures as low as 50 degrees

image

below zero, making large swaths of the country substantially colder than either pole.

It’s colder from Dallas to Denver than it is at the South pole. North and South Dakota, Minnesota, and Iowa are recording temps ranging from 5 down to -18; With the wind chill, it feels -17 F in Topeka, Kansas. Even Memphis sits at 10 degrees, and around 0 with the wind chill. Temps at Sun Studios shouldn’t feel like the South Pole.

The National Weather Service continually monitors weather conditions at the Amundsen-Scott South Pole Station in Antarctica, where it’s currently -7 Fahrenheit. The mean temperature last year at Antarctica’s South Pole was -54 Fahrenheit. The highest temperature ever recorded at the Amundsen-Scott South Pole Station was 7.5 F on Dec. 27, 1978, while the lowest was −117 F on Jun. 23, 1982. Brrr!

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration operates a North Pole webcam, deployed on an ice floe at the Pole. NOAA shuts down the cam over the winter due to the winter darkness, which lasts from October to March. In the dark of winter today, it’s currently -17.

Brace yourself for a cold and blustery winter here at home … or maybe pay a visit to balmy Antarctica.

This has never happened in recorded history!!

The mini ice age starts here

10 Jan 2010 - “The bitter winter afflicting much of the Northern Hemisphere is only the start of a global trend towards cooler weather that is likely to last for 20 or 30 years,” says this article in (UK) MailOnline.

Much of our climate is controlled by naturally occurring cycles, say some of the world’s most eminent climate scientists.

Among the most prominent of the scientists is Professor Mojib Latif, who leads a research team at the Leibniz Institute at Germany’s Kiel University.

Prof Latif “has developed new methods for measuring ocean temperatures 3,000ft beneath the surface, where the cooling and warming cycles start.”

Latif and his colleagues predicted the new cooling trend in a 2008 paper and warned of it again at an IPCC conference last September.

Winters like this one will become much more likely, says Latif. Summers will also probably be cooler, and all this may well last two decades or longer.

For Europe, the crucial factor here is the temperature of the water in the middle of the North Atlantic, now several degrees below its average when the world was still warming.

These cycles move together in a synchronised way across the globe, abruptly flipping the world’s climate from a “warm mode” to a “cold mode” and back again in 20 to 30-year cycles, said Prof Anastasios Tsonis, head of the University of Wisconsin Atmospheric Sciences Group.

We therefore can expect 20 or 30 years of cooler temperatures, said Prof Tsonis. “Perhaps we will see talk of an ice age again by the early 2030s.”

“According to the US National Snow and Ice Data Centre in Colorado, Arctic summer sea ice has increased by 409,000 square miles, or 26 per cent, since 2007 - and even the most committed global warming activists do not dispute this.”
